Applebee’s Just Changed Its Meal Deal – Latest Food News Update

If you’re tightening your spending belt, dining out can be difficult. Sure, there are fast food options, like McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal, but sometimes, you want to sit down at a table, have someone take your order, and maybe get a cocktail, too. For that, it’s hard to beat Applebee’s. 

For starters, Applebee’s has been offering a Really Big Meal Deal for several months now, and even though it’s advertised as a limited-time offering, the offer keeps getting extended. Last time we told you about it, it came with a Big Cluckin’ Chicken Sandwich or Big Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, endless fries, and a fountain drink with unlimited free refills. Even factoring in tax and tip, that’s an amazing deal.

The chain restaurant also has a “2 for $25” menu, with a special selection of meals and appetizers, that allows guests to order two full-size entrees and a choice of one appetizer or two side salads for just $25. Again, a pretty darn good deal.

Applebee’s just added two items to that value menu, one that’s new and one that’s already a fan fave at the restaurant.

Applebee’s New 2 for $25 Menu Items Available for a Limited Time

Diners now will have a choice of two additional meals to choose from when opting for the 2 for $25 menu.

• Hot Honey Glazed Chicken & Bacon Skillet: (New) Sliced grilled chicken breast topped with hot honey glaze, Applewood-smoked bacon, and parsley. Served sizzling with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and waffle fries.   
• Garlic Sirloin Skillet: (Already on the menu but new to the deal) A lightly seasoned 6-ounce sirloin grilled and smothered in a buttery garlic and parsley sauce. Served sizzling with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. 

For those who want a grown-up beverage to go along with their meal, Applebee’s just brought back its Bacardi Buckets, adding a new flavor to the returning flavors—the Strawberry Daq-A-Rita Bucket (a combination of strawberry Patrón Silver margarita and Bacardí Superior Rum).

There’s a New Addition to the Really Big Meal Deal, Too

Not to be outdone, the Really Big Meal Deal has one change to it as well. Applebee’s is keeping the Big Cluckin’ Chicken Sandwich in the deal but switching out the Big Classic Bacon Cheeseburger for an all-new Big Bangin’ Burger, an all-beef patty topped with two slices of American cheese and new sweet and spicy “secret sauce” made with jalapeños and bacon, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles and a Brioche bun. Of course, the deal still comes with endless fries and unlimited refills on fountain drinks. 

It certainly seems like Appelbee’s is the place to go to treat yourself this spring—even if you are tightening your belt.
