Fritos Is Bringing Back the Flavor Fans Can ‘Plow Through in One Sitting’ – Latest Food News Update

Plus, with so many choices already, if a brand can drum up interest for a whole new flavor, that’s a pretty good sign. And, that’s exactly what Fritos recently did. 

Fritos’ parent company, Frito-Lay, is known for releasing new chip flavors practically every month. This spring, we’ve already seen Flamin’ Hot Doritos Korean-Style BBQ, Rold Gold Selects, Ruffles Smokehouse BBQ, and a new line of Simply Doritos, Ruffles, and Tostitos. However, Fritos has always been a pretty bare-bones brand, with just a few fan-loved staples—like the classic corn chips, Scoops, and two flavors, Chili Cheese and Flamin’ Hot. But, the product that seems to have the most cult-like following is Fritos’ Flavor Twists. 

Currently, Fritos only has one Flavor Twists offering: its original Honey BBQ. However, the brand has teased a few flavors with extremely limited releases—like 2024’s Flamin’ Hot Ranch Flavor Twists timed with the “Twister” movie’s release and 2023’s limited run of Queso Flavor Twists. 

Since the release of the cheesy twisted corn chips, fans have been hoping for their return—and Fritos is finally answering that plea. 

Fritos Is Bringing Back Its Queso Flavor Twists

For the first time since 2023, Fritos Queso Flavor Twists are back on shelves. Fritos’ Questo Flavor Twists give classic chips and dip new meaning by coating the twisted corn chip in a cheesy, slightly spicy flavoring. As Flavor Twists fans know, the best part of this chip variety is that the coating gets lodged into each twisty crevice, so every bite is loaded with flavor.

When Fritos first released its Queso Flavor Twists, fans immediately raved about the cheesy new chips. 

“I’ve been carefully measuring out a serving at a time of these twists to assure I don’t plow right through the bag in one sitting,” one Redditor said. 

“I can already tell that’s a buy 2-3 bag item,” wrote another.

Well, those fans will be excited to learn that Fritos is bringing back its Queso Flavor Twists to retailers nationwide and in three sizes—so rationing shouldn’t be necessary. Fritos’ returning Queso Flavor Twists are rolling out now and are available in 3.75-ounce bags, 9.25-ounce bags, and 32-ounce bags in stores and on Snacks.com.

The best part of this news? Queso Flavor Twists are officially joining the Fritos lineup, making them the second Flavor Twists offering in the line.
