Processing uses in-browser libraries (such as pdf-lib) so the file does not need to sit on our disk. Encrypted or corrupted PDFs will fail until you unlock or repair them elsewhere.

Why did it fail?
Password-protected PDFs, huge scans, or mixed broken files are the usual causes. Unlock, compress, or try one file at a time.
Is this Adobe Acrobat?
No. It is a focused browser helper. Complex forms, OCR, and digital signatures need specialist software.
Can I work offline?
After the page and scripts load, many actions stay local. A first visit still needs the web to load the tool.
