About this tool
Render Mandelbrot and Julia set images up to 4096 px with zoom, centre, iteration depth and colour palettes, then download them.
For every pixel the formula z → z² + c is iterated until |z| exceeds the escape radius or the iteration limit is reached; Mandelbrot varies c per pixel, Julia fixes c. A smooth (normalised) iteration count picks the colour from the palette.
Example: Julia set with c = −0.8 + 0.156i, 300 iterations and the “ocean” palette makes a blue spiral wallpaper.
Deep zooms and high iteration counts take longer; the preview is drawn at a smaller size.
Quick steps
- Choose your files — they stay on your device.
- Set the options and check the preview or the test results.
- Download the result. Your original files are never changed.

FAQ
How does the Fractal Generator (Mandelbrot & Julia) work?
For every pixel the formula z → z² + c is iterated until |z| exceeds the escape radius or the iteration limit is reached; Mandelbrot varies c per pixel, Julia fixes c. A smooth (normalised) iteration count picks the colour from the palette.
What should I keep in mind?
Deep zooms and high iteration counts take longer; the preview is drawn at a smaller size.
Are my files uploaded?
