About this tool

Strip accents from Latin text (é → e, ñ → n, ø → o), remove Arabic tashkeel and tatweel, or normalise Unicode to NFC, NFD, NFKC or NFKD.

Text is decomposed (NFD) and combining marks that follow Latin letters are removed; letters with built-in strokes (ø, đ, ł) are mapped. Arabic mode removes the harakat (U+064B–U+065F), the superscript alef and Qur’anic marks.

Example: “Crème brûlée à São Paulo” → “Creme brulee a Sao Paulo”.

Removing accents can change meaning (año → ano); keep the original when it matters. Adding correct accents automatically is not possible without a dictionary, so it is not offered.

Quick steps

  1. Paste your text or open a file (or press Try an example).
  2. Choose the options — the result updates as you type.
  3. Copy the result or download it as a file.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to 1CLIK.
