About this tool
Tiles, boxes and optional material cost from floor area, tile size, joint and cutting allowance.
Tiles = ceil(A·(1+cut)/((tl+j)(tw+j))); boxes = ceil(tiles per box); cost = tiles·tile area·price.
Formula: n = ceil(A·(1 + cut/100) / ((tl + j)·(tw + j)))
Example: Floor area (m²) = 30, Tile length (mm) = 600, Tile width (mm) = 600, Joint (mm) = 2, Cutting allowance (%) = 10, Tiles per box = 4 → Tiles to order = 92, Boxes = 23.
