About this tool
Price a bond from its coupon, market yield and years to maturity.
Price = C·(1 − (1+y)^−N)/y + F·(1+y)^−N, where C is the coupon per period, y the market yield per period and N the number of coupon periods.
Formula: P = C·(1 − (1+y)^−N)/y + F·(1+y)^−N
Example: Face value = 1,000, Coupon rate (annual) = 5, Market yield (annual) = 6, Years to maturity = 10, Coupons per year = Every 6 months → Bond price = 925.61.
Gives the clean price on a coupon date; accrued interest between coupon dates is not included.
