About this tool
Download a new copy of a photo without the camera notes that were stored beside the pixels.
Phones often save GPS, the camera model, and the time inside a JPEG. This page draws the picture onto a canvas and downloads that drawing. The canvas copy has the pixels you see. It does not copy those side notes.
The file you picked is not edited on disk. If you still need the original, keep it. Delete it yourself when you do not. A screenshot that never had camera notes will look the same after this step, which is expected.
HEIC from some phones is not opened here. Export a JPG from the phone first. This page also does not blur a face or cover a name. Use Blur or cover part of a photo for pixels you do not want anyone to see.
Quick steps
- Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF the browser can open.
- Wait until the preview appears.
- Download the new image.
- Send that download, not the original, if the location note was the problem.
The image stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to strip the notes.
FAQ
Can I see the GPS point that was removed?
No. This page does not read or display the hidden notes. It simply does not copy them into the download.
Does this hide a face?
No. The pixels stay. Cover the face with the redact tool if the picture itself shows something private.
