About this tool
Convert animated GIFs to small MP4 (H.264) videos, or turn a clip of an MP4/WebM video into a GIF — in your browser.
GIF → MP4: every frame is decoded and passed to the browser’s WebCodecs H.264 encoder with its exact timing, then packed into an MP4 container (WebM is used if no H.264 encoder exists). Video → GIF: the clip is sampled at your frame rate and the frames are encoded with per-frame palettes.
Example: a 6 MB, 4-second GIF typically becomes an MP4 under 600 KB with the same timing.
MP4 encoding needs a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari. Videos with sound lose the audio in a GIF.
Quick steps
- Choose your files — they stay on your device.
- Set the options and check the preview or the test results.
- Download the result. Your original files are never changed.
Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to 1CLIK.
